Saying “I’m fine” is almost like a knee-jerk reaction these days.
You’re used to being someone who has seemingly got it together—at work, in relationships, and in most rooms you walk into. But constantly saving face is starting to come at a cost. More often than not, you’re saying yes to something you absolutely didn’t want to do—let alone have time for—just to keep the peace (a move right out of the eldest daughter playbook).
But lately, you’re starting to wonder if giving so much of your life to the daily grind and getting through “unprecedented” times over and over again is, well…getting to you.
Maybe you’re starting to think more about your drinking habits. You hadn’t really noticed how often you go back for more until your partner made a comment about it. And maybe there are other ways you’re coping with life (including things you’ve been avoiding from the past) that aren’t as noticeable, but have somehow fallen into your routine.
You’ve tried what seems like everything—therapy, journaling, scrolling less, whatever—and none of it’s really made a difference. Then some random lyrics will punch you in the feels, and suddenly you’re realizing…you don’t even know what you want. You just know it’s not this.
There isn’t anything wrong with you.
Hi, I’m Dr. Lori.
I’ve always viewed people as the experts of themselves, their journeys, and their experiences. I’m here to help you make sense of these things—especially the ones that feel confusing, painful, or tangled up inside. Yes, I bring clinical expertise. And even more importantly, I bring curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to sit with the hard shit. (Even the stuff you’ve convinced yourself shouldn’t still be affecting you.)
Another way of saying all of that is: I’m here to help you get your shit figured out.
While this work is deep, layered, and often messy, please know it’s not an attempt to “fix” you. I know that when you’ve spent so much of your life taking care of everyone else, finally turning inward can feel overwhelming—like you’re not even sure where to start. Here, you don’t have to have it all figured out. Together, we’ll help you feel more like yourself—maybe even meet some of the parts you’ve been avoiding—and start to explore what “feeling better” could actually look like for you.

My Specialties
-
You’re starting to wonder if your relationship with alcohol (or something else) is doing more harm than good. You don’t have to hit “rock bottom” or wait until things get worse to start asking questions…or to want something different. This is a space to be honest, get curious, and figure out what’s actually going to work for you.
-
You may or may not call what you’ve been through “trauma.” But you do know that something feels stuck, heavy, or like it’s been following you for years. Whether you’re feeling somewhat curious about it, or ready to go deeper, we’ll work together to understand how your past is showing up today and begin learning how to move forward without it running the show.
-
You’ve seen and been through a lot, and you’ve gotten good at keeping it locked down. Therapy isn’t about prying it all open. It’s about moving forward in a way that respects where you’ve been, honors what you’ve carried, and helps you feel more like yourself again. You don’t have to keep facing this on your own.

01
Start the process
We’ll dive into what’s actually going on beneath the surface. Regardless of why you’re here—drinking, burnout, relationships, stress, or just feeling “off”—we’ll always start where you are.
02
Do the work
Change doesn’t happen overnight, but over time, you’ll start to notice a shift. That might look like less noise in your head, fewer “what the hell is wrong with me” moments, or not always reaching for another glass.
03
You’ve been carrying too much for too long. Now, it’s time to set some of it down.
